Jen Carter grew up in San Jose, California, where she took on an early interest in reading the fantastic tales of centuries past. That excitement for literature grew alongside a joy found in writing; she always felt as though she had something to say.
After high school, Jen left northern California to attend UCLA where she majored in English. There, her fascination of premodern literature flourished, ultimately driving her to enroll in graduate school and earn her Masters’ Degree in Writing and Literature Studies.
Jen teaches English in higher education and after recently finishing a children's book series, she is now writing an 8 book cozy mystery series! Jen is happily married and resides with her beautiful family and Golden Retriever in the San Diego area.
